Awesome local resource for donating books, CD’s, and DVD’s!!

We are very fortunate in the Boston area to have a wonderful youth program called More Than Words. More Than Words is a job training and youth development program that empowers nearly 350 youth each year to take charge of their lives by taking charge of the More Than Words $4M bookselling business. They work with the most vulnerable young adults in Greater Boston: those who are in the foster care system, court-involved, homeless, or out of school. At More Than Words, they earn a paying job, working approximately 20 hours per week in the MTW businesses learning critical customer service, technology, inventory management, and leadership skills.

I had the pleasure of visiting their brick & mortar store in Waltham to donate some books, and the space inside is well-organized and has plenty to offer. They also have donation boxes in the greater Boston area and will do pickups in our region with a minimum donation requirement. They also accept clothing/shoes: See Here

I know many of our clients enjoy knowing that their donated items are going to a good home, so More Than Words is a local favorite, with the added bonus of supporting our youth community. Let us know if you’ve donated to More Than Words or a similar program in the comments.
