How to get off the Junk Mail Lists

Remember how popular it was to get on a do not mail list and seeing the amount of junk mail decrease? Have you suddenly realized that the junk mail is starting to creep back up again? Here is a refresher course on how to stop the junk mail from cluttering your home.

  • Register at and to get your name off catalogs, credit and magazine offers and other types of unwanted mail.
  • Visit specifically to have your name
  • removed from credit card offer lists. Drowning in donation requests? CharityNavigator.Org has a series of steps that will cut down on mailings. For example, they recommend that you stop making small donations to many organizations and focus on just donating money to a few. You can also request from the organizations that you do support to only request money once a year.
  • Before giving your information online or in person for purchases, memberships, or even loans, check for the ability to deny future solicitations from the company and to not have your information shared with third parties.

None of the above solutions are instant but you will notice a drop in junk mail in about 3 months. So register now before you get put on the mailing lists for the Christmas catalogs.
