I love to see storage pieces used in ways they may not be marketed for. In this case, a vertical shoe organizer available at Ikea. This plastic organizer is designed to be attached to a wall and store shoes. A client of mine decided to purchase it to use for another purpose; art storage. The bins are wide accomodating large sketch paper and when the bins are opened, do not spill the contents. I thought this was such a clever idea!
The family’s intent is to label the three bins something like; supplies, active work, and finished work. A great way to keep precious art off the floor and free from damage.
