Is Organizing by Phone right for you?
Not for Chronic Disorganization
If your organizing challenges started with a major life transition, then we can likely work with you by phone to strategize and identify how to shift your life systems to better support this new phase of your life. However, if you’ve had ongoing organizing challenges throughout your life, then purely Organizing by Phone might have more limited impact or success. In our experience Chronically Disorganized clients often require a greater level of hands-on demonstration of tasks and systems in order to learn and retain the necessary habits. Therefore, Organizing by Phone is not the best fit for these clients.
Are You Ready to Get Down and Dirty?
If you are ready and commited to doing the hands-on work yourself, then you might benefit from regular phone consultations with your Organizer to support your progress and commitment to your projectstand to consult with if you get stuck. This service works best if you are able to schedule consistent work sessions on your own or with an Organizing Buddy to maintain continuous progress toward your goals. Your Organizer becomes primarily a consultant to help you identify good strategies and appropriate products or systems to help your process and create the best possible result.
After an Organizing Retreat
After an Organizing Retreat there are frequently remaining tasks and next steps to wrap up or keep things moving. We frequently recommend to these clients scheduling ongoing Organizing by Phone sessions to help support your progress and maintenance goals.

Our staff can help you determine if your organizing projects are a good fit for our Organizing by Phone services.
With Hands-on Services
If you are using Organizing by Phone in conjunction with our Hands-on Services or an Organizing Retreat, then your sessions will be conducted with the same Organizer assigned for your Hands-on Sessions. You can work with your Organizer to determine how frequently you would like to schedule your Phone Sessions based on your goals and progress desired. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly Organizing by Phone sessions are all available.
Virtual Organizing
If you choose to work with us entirely by phone, then the most appropriate Organizer for your situation and projects will be assigned to support your progress. We recommend that you have a digital camera available to help document your status and progress. Your Organizer will work from either photographs or video of your space to help guide you through the organizing process from defining your goals to supporting your ongoing progress.
As with our Hands-on sessions, your Organizer will schedule an Initial Consultation session prior to which you will be asked to provide photos or video of all of the spaces you would like to organize. Your Organizer will work with you to develop a Plan of Action that identifies your goals and the actionable projects necessary for you to achieve them. Then, together you will create a schedule for your on-going work both independently hands-on and for your Organizing by Phone sessions.
