“Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your seminar at the POC Conference. What struck me most was your energy and enthusiasm. I can tell that you are very passionate about what you do! Thank you for coming to Canada and sharing your knowledge, your presence, and your gift with us.”
Translated as “everything in place”, this French phrase is most commonly heard in kitchens. Reason being, your work space, ingredients and tools need to be ready and organized before starting the cooking process. Last weekend, my husband and I attended a cooking class for couples. With two instructors and six couples, we spent a lot of time reviewing, organizing and strategizing and yet, still found ourselves scrambling to find everything we needed and worked hard to stay out of each other’s way. At the end of the night, we all gathered around the table to enjoy the food we had prepared, the factor we all agreed was most important was the preparation. My take away was this – plan ahead. Read and re-read the recipe, make sure the process is understood, gather ingredients and tools, then go to it. Bon appétit!
